The M4P Hub has released a new survey to gather the views and experiences of Market Systems Development Practitioners. This process will allow for these experiences to be incorporated into the revised M4P Operational Guide, strengthening the Guide for the next generation of M4P programming.
Most practitioners in the field of market systems development will be familiar with The M4P Operational Guide. Used by many as a reference to 'good practice' in market systems development and the 'Making Markets Work for the Poor' approach, the Guide is now more than 4 years old. In that time, the approach has evolved and significant experience (both good and bad) gained in implementing M4P programmes world-wide.
Recognising the need to capture this experience, SDC and its partners have charged the M4P Hub to commission an update of the Operational Guide to support the next generation of M4P programmes. As part of this process, a major survey has been released to gather together the views and experience of market systems development practitioners in using and applying the Guide and which will feed into the new Guide.
An overview of the Operational Guide can be found here.
If you are a practitioner in market systems development and you have experience and/or ideas to contribute - we would welcome your input to this process. Please find the link to the survey
here.
Please note the survey will close on 26th of November 2012.
