Business Environment Strengthening for Tanzania - Advocacy Component (BEST-AC) is a business advocacy programme. The programme has a catalytic effect, as it works to link the demand and supply sides of improved business environment. It works with private sector organisations, to build sustainable capacity, and credibility to facilitate advocacy with government and policy makers.

Our focus is to enhance the quality and credibility of private sector organisations (PSOs) to engage effectively in private-public dialogue and to advocate for improvements in the business environment in Tanzania by:

  • Strengthening the capacity of PSOs to advocate effectively on behalf of their members.
  • Strengthening the capacity of consultants to provide quality services to PSOs (support, train and advise PSOs on advocacy).
  • Promoting effective networking and collaboration among PSOs and other stakeholders.
